Harte sends Stedman two photographs between which Stedman may choose for the engraver. The ones Stedman has from two years ago won't do as they don't show his 50 years and grey hair. He hopes they will meet soon. In a postscript he notes he was born August 25th 1839 in Albany, N.Y.
